Deadly force
Following a pursuit that began in Bay County, a man was shot and killed by a deputy in Gulf County. After the incident, a black battery pack, about 4 inches by 2½ inches by 1 inch, was found under Durman's body and is believed to be the "shiny, black" object he was brandishing when he was shot.. The officers had thought it was a gun.
