Following multiple interactions with police, a BMW sedan struck a utility pole and tree before being engulfed in flames. Joseph Bougie, 32, and Michael "Mike" Murphy, 22, were killed. Police said they weren't pursuing at the time of the accident, although published evidence shows they believed they were being pursued.
