Jose Chapa III was armed and attempting to stick up a gas station. He allegedly shot and injured Officer Naqirra Williams when she responded to the scene and then took her car. After a short chase, Chapa was found dead in the patrol car from a self-inflicted gunshot. His death was ruled a suicide.
