Around 11:30 a.m., Jordan Allen-Lindstrom was running from police and tried to escape by jumping into the Truckee River, but after 20 minutes he appeared to go unconscious and was pulled underneath the water. Firefighters found Allen-Lindstrom eight minutes later but he was dead. Allen-Lindstrom was suspected of stealing something from the Three Nations Walmart. Officers followed him to the river near Glendale Avenue.
