Pocahontas officers were investigating a report that Jonathan Tims had allegedly threatened his girlfriend with a gun. When they arrived he fled into the nearby woods and pulled out a handgun. Police shot and killed Tims. A report from the Arkansas State Police cleared the Pocahontas Police officers.
