Less-than-lethal force

Officers arrested Hernandez for burglary of a habitation. He resisted officers all the way to Plano Municipal Jail. A detention supervisor finally used a pressure point to restrain him. Later, Hernandez became pale and his pupils started to dilate. He was transported to Plano Medical Center, where he died of the toxic effects of cocaine. Richardson Police Department sent arrestees to Plano Municipal Jail during the remodeling of its own facility.
