Suicide

Two boys were missing and their mother, Latiffiney Rodgers, 26, was found murdered during a welfare check at their home. Investigators learned the children's whereabouts at about 7:30 a.m. They went to an apartment to try to speak with the suspected murderer, Johnnie Ray Palmore, the father of the boys. At about 9:30 a.m, officers entered the apartment and found the missing children safe and unharmed, along with an unnamed woman and another child who were not involved. As they entered the home, officers heard a gunshot coming from a bedroom and found Palmore dead from a self-inflicted gunshot.
