Ridgefield police, responding to a call of a domestic dispute, reportedly saw John Valluzzo with a handgun. Officers ordered him to put down his weapon, but Valluzzo refused to comply, raised the gun toward the officers and advanced towards them. An officer shot and killed Valluzzo.
