Officer B. Ondriezek responded just after 3 a.m. to a single-other crash and spoke with the driver, John Dunaway. During their conversation, the driver reportedly attacked the officer and claimed he had a gun. The officer tasered Dunaway twice. The driver eventually got up, again claimed he had a gun and began to run toward his car, and the officer shot and killed him. He did not have a gun.
