Deadly force

Two Jacksonville officers working off-duty as mall security were called in to capture two shoplifters. One of the two fled on foot, chased by one of the officers, then drew a weapon and began shooting. The officer was fired on 12 times, and hit 6 times, in close-quarter combat and saved only by his bulletproof vest. The shoplifter was fired on 14 times, hit 7, and fatally struck.
