Deputies were searching for Joe Robideau, who was suspected of shooting and wounding an officer. When deputies went to his home at around 6:20, he sped off. Deputies chased Robideau until he got out of his car and started firing at deputies, first from one rifle and then from another. Two deputies shot and killed.
