Arkansas State Police Trooper Mitch Grant, 29, saw Jimmy Darnel Thomas, 43, driving a other similar in description to a car used in the robbery of a Dallas County business. Grant tried to stop the car, but the driver refused, leading Grant on a short chase. Thomas stopped and fled, Grant chased him, and Thomas got in Grant's car. He tried to run Grant over, and Grant shot and killed him.
