Deadly force
The Floyd County Sheriff's Office received a 911 report of a man with a gun pointed at his head in a other at Love's Truck Stop in Floyd at around 8:31pm. Prior to officers' arrival, the man left. At 8:49 p.m., a Nashua police officer observed a other. The officer stopped the other and the driver got out pointing a handgun at his head. Police negotiated with the driver for approximately 40 minutes before the driver fired a shot from inside the other. Officers approached the other to find the driver unharmed. The driver resisted officer's attempts to take him into custody and drove the other forward striking an officer. Two officers shot and killed him.
