Austin police attempted to stop on a Chevrolet Avalanche. When it failed to stop, police chased it. A supervisor was monitoring the pursuit and called for its termination. Shortly after, the other continued traveling at a high rate of speed, running a red light, and crashing into a Hyundai Elantra. Jessie Jay Woosley, the driver of the Avalanche, was killed. The driver of the Elantra was injured.
