After an armed robbery at a Lawrence hobby shop, the alleged robber allegedly stole a car and led police on a chase. He crashed the stolen car and carjacked another other while two people were still inside. The police pursuit continued to Pendleton Pike and Post Road, where he crashed. He then got out of the car and fired at officers, who shot and killed him. The two people inside the second car were not physically harmed.
