Deadly force

Jesse Max Rubalcava had escaped from a juvenile facility on Sept. 20, 2012. On Jan. 10, 2013, 911 was called regarding a man with a gun. When deputies arrived, they found Rubalcava running in the middle of the street. He stopped, and one of the deputies ordered him to show his hands. He allegedly grabbed for something in his waistband and was struggling to remove it when the other deputy shot twice at him. He ran and other deputies arrived. They found him, and he allegedly had a knife in his hand, which he was waving back and forth. The deputies ordered him to drop the knife, and Rubalcava reportedly grabbed for something in his pocket. The deputies shot and killed him.
