Police searched for Jerry Leon Hermes, Jr., 35, after finding his wife Lisa dead with multiple gunshot wounds in the driver's seat of a sport utility car with three children in the back seat. The wife had a restraining order against Hermes, who had threatened her with a firearm months earlier. Authorities located Jerry Hermes in a barn armed with a handgun. Hermes shot at the officers, the officers returned fire killing him.
