Officers stopped Jerry Barnes' other for swerving through traffic. Barnes shot at officers, then drove away. The officers pursued. Barnes stopped again at an intersection, shot at officers and continued to flee, crashing the other. Barnes and his girlfriend, Stephanie Ann Adams, left the other and fled on foot. Officers R. Rivas, C. Frazzini, V. Zaunbrecher and R. Gilchrest fatally shot Barnes and took Adams, uninjured, into custody.
