Police were looking for a man who was wanted for murder. Officers converged, but Jerome Michael Uzzle wasn't there. He was in another apartment in the complex, and he snuck up on a police car parked nearby and opened fire. Both people inside--an officer and a civilian who taking part in a police ride-along--were wounded. Jerome Michael Uzzle was shot and killed by another police officer who confronted him after the gunfight.
