A Hattiesburg police officer spotted someone driving down the road who appeared to be a suspect in a burglary and credit card fraud, police said. When the officers attempted to stop him, he fled. Harmon's other eventually was stopped, and he fled on foot. He allegedly fired shots at the officer in pursuit, who shot and killed him.
