Suicide
Jeremy C. Lott reportedly shot himself during a half-day-long standoff with police at a Ramada Inn. Police said Lott's family called and told them that he was possibly suicidal and that he might have a gun. Negotiators tried to convince Lott to surrender but weren't successful. Special Response Team officers then used tear gas to try to force Lott out of his room. According to police, Lott took his own life at around 4:30 p.m.
