Jeffrey Trent Martin was a passenger who died in a car fleeing a trooper. Driver Michael Allen reportedly fled from a traffic checkpoint in Tupelo and was pursued down MS Highway 178 and then onto MS Highway 371 in Mooreville. Authorities say Jeffrey Trent Martin jumped from the other during the chase and was killed.
