San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies shot and killed Jeffrey Langenhorst after he allegedly tried to run them over with a big rig. Sheriff's deputies joined Chino police in pursuing Langenhorst (no reason for the pursuit given) whose car broke down after a short, high speed chase. Langenhorst continued on foot, then got into an idling big rig and drove in the general direction of deputies. Langenhorst died at the scene.
