Around 7:45 p.m., police were called about a man in Franklin Township acting erratically and banging on doors claiming he didn't want to go back to jail.When police arrived, the suspect fled on foot through Franklin Township, past the Boatyard Restaurant toward the Lehigh River. He jumped into the river while police followed his movements, and he drowned.
