Deadly force

Self-described sovereign citizen Wright attempted to pay a traffic ticket with scrip of his own invention. He then countered further penalties by denying that the court had any jurisdiction over him. County deputies pursued him on charges of counterfeiting, setting up a four-hour standoff at his house. After shooting in tear gas, officers found Wright sitting at the top of his stairs, pointing a pistol at them. He was fatally shot by three deputies simultaneously.
