Reportedly Jeff Foote called police told a dispatcher that he planned to shoot himself. Officers from multiple police agencies responded to Foote's home. He was reportedly standing in the front yard, brandishing a small handgun. One deputy tried to calm Foote. As they spoke, however, Foote allegedly discharged his gun and an officer returned fire killing Foote.
