Javier Magana was armed with a handgun and was wanted in connection with a shooting in Oxnard. Oxnard police tried to pull him over, but he fled and police pursued from Oxnard into Ventura where Ventura police took over. The pursuit ended after his other hit spike strips twice. Magana allegedly got out of his other and a Ventura PD officer shot and killed him.
