Javier Escobedo died after crashing his 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier into a power pole while fleeing from police. According to police, officers tried to pull Escobedo over at around 2:30 a.m. for failing to stop at a stop sign. Escobedo was pronounced dead at a hospital.
