Less-than-lethal force

Jason Kyle Lewis's wife called police to tell them her husband was flipping out, breaking all the glass in the house and mutilating himself. Police first encountered Lewis laying naked on a bed, covered with blood and shards of glass. In order to provide medical treatment to Lewis, who was punching himself in the face, police handcuffed him. Lewis became unresponsive, EMTs got a faint pulse but he died when he got to the hospital. Lewis and his wife had been drinking alcohol and smoking 'Kush" brand synthetic marijuana.
