Jason Kitchekeg died after plunging into the Chicago River while being chased by police. Kitchekeg was reportedly one of three men police chased off for spray-painting an abandoned building on South Ashland Avenue at around 6 p.m. Officers caught two of the men, but Kitchekeg jumped into the river, police said. About 30 minutes later, firefighters pulled Kitchekeg from the water. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
