Troopers were conducting a DUI patrol on Fish Creek Road, when a car attempted to flee. Troopers pursued the fleeing car until it was stopped. One passenger exited the car when the chase ended. As Trooper Johnathan Mason made contact with the driver, Jason Dennis Watkins, 36, accelerated the car, and the trooper shot and killed him.
