Jason D. Whittemore was wanted in a homicide in Portland. Police said he tried to get into several homes in Allen County. Deputies responded just before 4:45 p.m. and confronted Whittemore. Deputies said Whittemore showed a weapon and refused to follow commands. Deputy Tim Robinson shot and killed him.
