Deadly force

Officers were in the parking lot investigating suspicious behavior between two men who were standing outside their cars in the police station parking lot about 6 p.m. One of the drivers had allegedly been following the other and the followed driver had sought safety at the police station. The following driver was armed with a handgun and refused to drop it during the encounter, and Officer Bobby Voth shot and killed Jason Livengood.
