Deadly force

Jared Woosypiti allegedly fired a gun while robbing a Kmart then fled to an apartment where he was staying with a woman. The woman reportedly said Woosypiti consumed methamphetamine and marijuana and then asked her to leave. Police encountered Woosypiti barricaded in the apartment and a two-day long standoff ensued. Water cannons, tear gas and a police dog failed to remove Woosypiti. Woosypiti fired on the police dog and its handler and shot at officers surrounding the apartment complex. The third time Woosypiti fired on officers, multiple officers open fired and killed him.
