A local officer rushing to the site of a morning Olive Garden robbery crashed into a car driven by elderly Perry. Perry was taken to the hospital, and was sitting up and talking then died from apparent heart failure. The officer was also seriously injured. The local police chief expressed hopes that the Olive Garden robber would be charged with murder for Perry's death.
