James Griffin allegedly tried to steal a pack of cigarettes from an Alto Pic-N-Go. In convenience store video, Griffin pulled a machete out of his pants after the store owner confronted him. In a dash cam video, Griffin pulled out the machete as he walked toward officer Smith. Officer Smith shot and killed him.
