Deadly force
Arkansas state troopers and a county deputy recognized the other being driven by James Edward Blackmon had been pursued in Missouri and pursued Blackmon until he stopped the car and fled on foot. The troopers released a police dog, when it reached Blackmon he pulled out a gun and killed the dog. He reportedly then turned and fired at the officers, who shot and killed him.
