Jake Moeller broke into his ex-girlfriend's home, police said. Nielsen said the woman, who was asleep at the time of the break-in, called police after Moeller left her home and said that he had assaulted her. He shot himself in the head after police slowed his sport utility other by throwing down a tire deflation device during a chase.
