Officers were on I-25 and were passed on the right by a speeding Dodge Caravan around 9:45 p.m. When the officers attempted to stop the other, the driver fled, and the officers pursued her. The driver got onto N.M. 599, made a U-turn and reportedly nearly struck the officers' car. The Dodge Caravan then reentered the interstate, traveling the wrong way in the northbound lane, and struck a concrete barrier, killing Jacqueline Morfin.
