Deadly force

Deputies responded just after 12:30 p.m. to a home. Police said they received a report that a man had assaulted his sister and husband at their home. Jackie Harlan Roberts allegedly went outside to his car and armed himself with a handgun. Deputies found him sitting in the car with a gun in his hand. Roberts ignored commands to drop the weapon and began waving it around. A deputy shot and killed him.
