At Rest

Deadly force
Jack Jacquez returned home on his skateboard around 2:30 am just as officer James Ashby attempted to stop him for an alleged traffic violation. A struggle broke out on the front porch then spilled into the living room when the door opened. The officer shot unarmed Jacquez four times in the back, killing him right in front of his mother. Officer Ashby was convicted of second degree murder.
This record exists so that Jack Jacquez Jr., and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
