Biography
Ibrahim Lafi, aged 21, was a talented Palestinian photojournalist working for the Ain Media production company. One of the first reporters to cover the events of 7 October 2023 in Gaza, he was killed by an Israeli strike while filming near the border area. Known for his passion for photography and commitment to truth, Ibrahim was completing his journalism degree and had already worked as a fixer for international media before his tragic death.
Ibrahim Lafi was a young and promising photojournalist from the Gaza Strip, known for his dedication to documenting the reality of life in his homeland. A student in the final year of his journalism degree, he combined his academic studies with practical work at Ain Media, a local production company providing visuals and reports to both regional and international outlets.
Eager to show the human side of Gaza beyond conflict, Ibrahim focused on capturing powerful images that reflected daily life and the resilience of his community. He also worked as a fixer for several international media organizations, including the French weekly Politis, helping foreign correspondents navigate Gaza’s complex reporting environment.
