Humphrey N. Davis was killed when his car went off a road and rolled several times while he was involved in a traffic chase with a state trooper. Davis was thrown from his 2001 Chevrolet Malibu at 11:30 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene. The highway patrol did not say why Davis was being pursued.
