Deputy Roy Carrera tried to pull over a 1993 Nissan for speeding and driving through a stop sign. The driver, a human smuggler, evaded arrest and crashed the other. Three of the driver's undocumented immigrant passengers were injured. The fourth, Munoz, was killed.
