At Rest

Deadly force
A SWAT team operating on a no-knock drug warrant shot Bowe's dog and broke down the door. Bowe was allegedly standing in the hallway holding a broom, which one officer took to be a long gun. The officer shot Bowe in the chest with one round from a shotgun. Bowe died eleven days later. The officer was cleared of any wrongdoing, but Bowe's family was awarded $450,000 in a civil action.
