Eyewitnesses described the shooting as from a distance in the governorate area. Method of killing described as ‘unusual’. Body buried in Barfjan shrine in the city.

Cause of Death: Christian citizen shot by security forces with a military bullet while attempting to help his wounded friend Shahram Maghsoudlou during a protest in Baharestan Isfahan. After being shot in the thigh and bleeding severely, security forces stationed at the hospital prevented him and his companions from entering the emergency room and accessing medical services, causing him to die from severe blood loss. His family searched for him for five consecutive days without knowing his fate. Authorities offered to return his body only if the family signed a form falsely claiming he was a Basij member killed by protesters, which the family refused. His body was eventually returned after payment of one billion tomans. He had a 4-year-old daughter and two teenage stepdaughters.

Cause of Death: Died in Karaj on January 8, 2026 (18 Dey 1404)

Cause of Death: University of Tehran graduate student (class of 2019, irrigation major, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources), shot with war bullets by suppressive forces. Was wounded on Thursday evening 18 Dey in Haft-Howz area of Tehran, died on 19 Dey. Had a tattoo on his arm reading ‘For those I love I will sacrifice’. Secret burial ceremony held with extensive presence of security agents.

Cause of Death: Elite PhD student in chemistry, originally from Sepiddashht in Lorestan province, resident of Tehran. Shot directly in the head by government suppression forces during people’s protests.

Cause of Death: Language teacher and beloved educational figure. Shot directly with a war bullet at close range (about 6 meters) in the head in the Sadra neighborhood of Shiraz by Khamenei’s mercenaries. Her body was buried under severe security measures in a completely controlled environment in Ghalat village, Shiraz. The burial ceremony was held with severe restrictions on public attendance and under security forces’ supervision.

Cause of Death: Shot directly in the head with bullets by security forces

Cause of Death: Young barber from Zemeydan village near Lahijan who loved nature, animals, and motorcycling. Shot in the side during protests at Enghelab Square while rushing to help a wounded woman. Bullet exited through his stomach. Authorities withheld his body but his father forcibly took it and drove to the cemetery.

Cause of Death: Off-road racing champion from Qazvin. Shot first in the hand and then in the stomach on Yakhchal Street in Qazvin. Transferred to Pasteur Hospital where surgery was reportedly successful. However, at 5 AM Friday morning, he was shot with a finishing shot at the hospital and killed. Described as a planned field execution and example of the regime’s policy of slaughter, elimination and assassination of defenseless citizens.

Cause of Death: 3-year-old child killed by direct gunfire from war bullets by regime mercenaries during national uprising on 18 Dey month. She was not a protester, was not chanting slogans, had no weapon; she was simply alive and that was enough for the regime. After this crime, the regime’s propaganda apparatus tried to cover up the truth with scenario-making and lies, and put pressure on the grieving family.
