Cause of Death: Student of dramatic literature at Iqbal Lahori University in Mashhad. Shot directly by a sniper positioned on top of Emamiyeh Qasemabad police station in Mashhad around 23:00. Died from gunshot wound. Initially pronounced dead at the scene, then rushed to nearest clinic but died before receiving medical treatment. Plainclothes officer at clinic mockingly told companions ‘You deserved it’. Body withheld from family for four days with condition to identify him as ‘Basiji’ which family refused. Family eventually received body without accepting this condition. Shahid Foundation later contacted family to identify him as ‘martyr’ which family rejected.

Cause of Death: Kurdish citizen who fell into a coma after being shot with bullets and receiving multiple baton blows to the head during protests. Died after one week. Initially wounded on Thursday 18 Dey by government forces through shooting with war bullets and baton strikes. Body was buried on Friday 26 Dey.

Cause of Death: Shot in the forehead by IRGC snipers while carrying an injured protester on his shoulders to his house parking lot for medical treatment during protests in Fardis, Karaj. He was helping others who were wounded by government forces firing war bullets at protesters. Two other people were also shot while locals risked their lives to retrieve his body. He had been previously warned by two Basij members that he had been identified by intelligence forces and his life was in danger. Born 1370, resident of Fardis Karaj, recently married just 45 days before his death. His body was returned to his family three days after death. He owned a clothing boutique called ‘Diamond’ in Fardis Karaj and was known as Behrouz Diamond. He had previously provided shelter to injured protesters in his house parking lot during November 2019 protests, Mahsa movement of 2022, and Dey month 2025 protests.

Cause of Death: 27-year-old software engineer working in Tehran. Left home on Friday evening January 8, 2026 around 7 PM. In his last phone call around 8:30 PM, he told his family he was fleeing and security forces were pursuing him. His phone was then turned off and he disappeared. After extensive searches by family at various detention centers including Evin Prison, Fashafuyeh Prison, and Tehran prosecutor offices, no official institution acknowledged detaining him. His body was finally identified at Behesht Zahra morgue on January 16. Severe blow marks to the back of his head were visible on his body, and cause of death was declared as ‘high-speed projectile impact’. Killed in Pakdasht.

Cause of Death: Detained on Jan 4, 2026, at Hamadan Rehabilitation Center during protests.

Cause of Death: Real estate advisor and professional bodybuilder. Shot on Jihad Street in Astaneh. Witness reports he was hit with both pellets and war bullets from Kalashnikov rifle.

Cause of Death: Shot in the head by forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the vicinity of Bagh Melli Lahijan. His body was held by security agencies for a period, and his family only managed to retrieve the body after paying 500 million tomans. He worked at a restaurant and lived with his mother. His body was transferred to Isfahan for burial.

Cause of Death: MMA athlete shot directly by suppression forces while helping a wounded protester at 9:30 PM in Pasdaran neighborhood of Masjed Soleyman. Security forces later buried him as a ‘martyred Basiji’ with security arrangements at Behesht-e Zahra cemetery in Charbisheh on Dey 25, 1404 at 4 AM. His Instagram photos and videos were removed by security forces.

Cause of Death: Killed on 18 Dey, body was found in Kahrizak after five days and buried in Behesht-e Rezvan cemetery in Shahriar
