Deputies responded to a call of a man with a gun outside a McDonalds encountered Henry Gregory Stroud armed with a .22 rifle. Officers made contact with Stroud and ordered him to drop the weapon. They shot him three times with beanbag rounds, but it didn't phase him. Strout pointed his rifle toward officers, and they shot and killed him. The shooting was ruled justified.
