Harold Easter was arrested after officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reportedly saw him make a drug deal. Officers stopped his other a short time later. Police said Easter had cocaine and marijuana in his possession. He was transported to the Metro Division team office for an interview and arrest processing. At some point during the process, Easter ingested a toxic amount of cocaine and eventually began experiencing seizures. Family lawyer argues police should have provided medical help to Easter sooner. He died in the hospital for reasons related to cocaine toxicity.
