Biography

Habeeb al-Masri, 24, was a young Palestinian from Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza. Known among his community for his courage and dedication, Habeeb was actively engaged in protests demanding freedom and dignity for his people. His life was cut short after being critically wounded by Israeli gunfire while participating in a demonstration near the perimeter fence east of Beit Hanoun. Despite the efforts of medical teams to save him, Habeeb succumbed to his injuries at dawn on Sunday, leaving behind grieving family and friends who remembered him as a symbol of resilience and youthful determination.

Born and raised in Beit Hanoun, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, Habeeb al-Masri grew up in a region long scarred by blockade, conflict, and economic hardship. At 24, he carried the weight of a generation that had known only siege and violence, yet he also carried hope for a different future. Habeeb often participated in community activities and was committed to standing with fellow Palestinians in their struggle for justice and recognition.
